Heckler & Koch is a name synonymous to the superb engineering of German machinery and H&K’s G36s are a prime example of it. The G36 (Gewehr36) series of rifles was designed to replace the Germany military’s tried and true, but out of date, G3 during the early 1990s. In 1997, the Germany army – the Bundswehr, accepted the futuristic and sleek G36 into their arsenal, replacing the harden battle rifle.

The Umarex H&K G36 from ARES is an accurate and authentic replica of the famous assault rifle. The body of the gun is made with a reinforced polymer, making the gun extremely lightweight, yet incredibly durable. The G36 is dotted with Heckler & Koch logos and trademarks adding to its authenticity. It features an ambidextrous magazine release, selector switch and charging handle making this gun a good choice for left handed operators. Just like its real counter-part, it has a foldable skeleton stock that, with a push of a button, folds and locks the stock on to the right side of the gun. ARES included a 3x zoom magnified scope for medium to long range shooting as well as an integrated red dot sight for CQB. The G36 features a folding bipod for more stabilized and accurate shooting from the prone or from cover.

The H&K G36 uses an all metal reinforced version 3 gearbox. The gearbox features ARES’s renown microswitch trigger system for a very crisp trigger pull. Coupled with the MOSFET that comes pre-installed with the gun, the G36 can handle higher power batteries and maintain very responsive trigger in semi auto, full auto and 2-round burst modes. The G36 also uses ARES’s electric blowback system for the added realism of a cycling bolt when firing the gun.
